The festival takes place on Saturday, 14th June 2026. The event opens at 11:30 AM and closes at 4:00 PM. It is a perfect afternoon out for families in South Leeds. It is community led celebration of Hunslet and the wider South Leeds communities of Leeds.

We are located at the Grove Road Recreation Ground in Hunslet, Leeds (LS10 2QT). The park is easily accessible for residents walking from Hunslet Carr, Hunslet Green, Hunslet Moor, H2010, Hunslet Riverside, and areas of Beeston and Belle Isle.

Yes! The Hunslet Festival is a free community event. Entry to the arena, live music performances, and many children’s activities (like the youth bus and climbing wall) are provided at no cost to help families in LS10 and LS11 enjoy a great day out.

Parking around Grove Road Recreation Ground is very limited and is on-street only. The is a car park behind Involve Leeds and Hunslet Library and Community Hub, and at The Penny Hill Centre, both cross the road from Grove Road on the other side of Church Street. We strongly encourage visitors from LS10 and LS11 to to walk or use public transport to reduce congestion in the local area.

Yes, responsible dog owners are welcome! Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please note that there will be a Birds of Prey display and loud music from the stage, so please consider if this environment is suitable for your pet.

The Grove Road field is generally flat and grassy, making it accessible for most wheelchairs and pushchairs, weather permitting. We aim to make the event inclusive for all members of the Leeds community.

The festival at Grove Road Recreation Ground is excellently served by major bus routes running along Low Road and Church Street.

• From Leeds City Centre: Take the 110 (Arriva), 12, or 13/13A (First Bus).

• From Wakefield: The 110, 444, and 446 (Arriva) stop directly on Low Road.

• From White Rose Centre: Take the 12 (First Bus) towards Roundhay.

• From Middleton: Take the 13, 13A, or 74 directly to Hunslet.

The closest stops are on Low Road and Church Street (just a 2-minute walk to the festival entrance).
